It was 0°F (-18°C) as I sat on my icy front stoop in my jammies, with my tripod and camera. See the band of white light as the shadow moved over the moon? The moon was orangy, red. There were some clouds floating by. The stars in the sky were brilliant. Wasn't it a great experience? For more, go

I like your picture a LOT! It gives a wonderful feeling of what it was really like and is much much more poetic and resonant than mine! :-D
ReplyDeleteWeren't you cold in your jammies?
I had snowpants and hat and park and boots and I was cold. :-D
Thanks though a lot for linking to Mike's posting of my picture. :-D
ReplyDeleteIt was cloudy here so we could not see it.....nice interpretation artwork!

It was striking in the Bronx. I saw people huddled in close groups, gawking, oohing, aahing.
ReplyDeleteI'll hold the picture in my memory. Yours too. Very nice!
Jonathan
So vivid and real! You must have some zoom on that camera....
ReplyDelete(The last time I showed up for a lunar eclipse, I got stood up. Next time I think of going out for one, I'm coming back to this post.)
Thanks for the best laugh of the day.
You've won a comedy award of the day!!
ReplyDelete(Thanks for giving me the link to this one!!!)
This picture is priceless, and a good likeness, too. Much more realistic than NASA stuff, I think. The kind of thing that makes one glad he or she is a child at heart. Thank you for this, Andree. And for you know what, too. Go look in our hiding place and see what you'll find.
ReplyDeleteWe here in Idaho had a great view of the eclipse of the moon.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy watching the whole thing and made a slide show or I should say "try to make slide show"
I need to learn so much more about my camera.
