Amelia and I went to visit K and G two years ago because of a special moth K had sighted. K is our district's and state's autism specialist and I have taught with G in the past. These are special friends. The moth had, of course, flown away. However, their dog, Bo, was enjoying the beautiful June weather in the middle of the doorway. Bo has since passed on, and it was devastating for them.
K was one of the most gifted macro nature and insect photographers I have known. Sadly for me but happily for her, she has gone on to other things. Ironically, I am now working with G again. This happy circumstance has helped lift my sadness and made this coming year exciting and fun to look forward to.
