Black-eyed Susans

Rudbeckia hirta

This photograph is untouched. I did not even play with the histogram. The black-eyed susans are now blooming on my property. They may be one of my favorite wildflowers. They simply make me happy to be alive. Black-eyed susans are native to Vermont.

I insist that you click on the photo to see it full size in a new window. There are small gnats on the flower and the brown center disk of the flowers is fascinating.

  1. Great photo. They are beautiful flowers aren't they. Your site makes a great advertisement for spending the summer in Vermont. Winter still sounds too hard for me.
