Currier's Market in Glover, Vermont is full of "fake" animals. They were once real but they all visited the taxidermist.
If you like, you can view all 32 images from this store in the Currier's Market set on Flickr.
Thank you for visiting. I hope you all are having a good summer!

Wow. What a lot of stuffed animals! The taxidermist did a great job. :)
ReplyDeleteI have several of these guys here in my house, I don't know I didn't post them. I am enjoying the slides.
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme.
Oh, I am also bookmarking your other page, I always need ideas for different foods and I will not do my best to not break the internet. ;)
Have a good weekend.
How awful, I hate stuffed real animals, I have to think that they had been killed. But a nice interpretation of the word !
ReplyDeleteWell that certainly is a bit different, the nearest we have got to that is a fake cockrel in the local supermarket, crowing about the eggs.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing place! I have never seen anything even remotely similar.
ReplyDeleteOh. My. Goodness.
ReplyDeleteWow - an amazing and eerie looking place.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend.
Oh, I always feel sorry for the animals like this!
ReplyDeleteGreat take on the theme.
This is in a store?
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd have the stomach to shop there.
but, thanks for that!
How neat! I bet they are a big hit with kids!
ReplyDeleteGreat stuffed animals. But they do look scary at night.
ReplyDeleteHappy 070707 and a Happy Weekend :) http://crizlai.blogspot.com/2007/07/photo-hunters-fake.html
Great choice/choices for the theme. Even though they are dead they still look very much alive.
ReplyDelete:)
I have some stuffed animals too. But mine are pink and yellow and green and they do not look quite as realistic. (Mine are toys).
ReplyDeletewow--that is a lot of animals!! Wonderful take on this weeks theme :) Very realistic.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting place to have a bunch of dead animals hangin' around! It's pretty cool in a weird kind of way.
ReplyDeleteI love that shopping moose! How funny.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice for the hunt, have a happy weekend.
Kind of freak out by fake creatures especially the ones the used to be real - still don't get what appeal of taxidermy
ReplyDeleteThey certainly look alive. It must be a little creepy walking around those stuffed animals. Great choice for the theme.
ReplyDeleteBetter these are preserved with their natural looks than just seeing them in photos. Good choices!
ReplyDeleteBtw, how was the aftermath of your 4th of July celebration?
Hope you have a great weekend!
It's just sad what they've become. Anyway, that's a good interpretation of the theme. :)
ReplyDeletei am kind of scared with stuffed animals... and i feel so sorry for them too.
ReplyDeletenevertheless, great photos for this week.
thanks for dropping by and have a great weekend. :D
Great take on the theme!! These are all in one store? Love the feminine hygiene products behind the wolf... heh heh heh...
ReplyDeleteI have to say I much prefer the real ones over the "fake." There is a grocery store in the teeny town of Quemado, New Mexico that is full of elk heads. Creepy!
ReplyDeleteI hate it when a perfectly good animal decides to visit the taxidermist, it nevers ends well for the animal.
ReplyDeleteI love the slideshow, I must play with that feature on Photobucket.
Thanks for commenting on my entry earlier at http://www.jmrpub.com/blog/2007/07/06/saturday-photo-hunt-fake/
I am JMR from JMRPub.com
Well who goosed the moose? *S*
ReplyDeleteGreat idea for the theme!
Happy weekend

Wow, can't imagine something like that in our supermarkets, love the slide show view as well
ReplyDeleteThat's one freaky supermarket. Does it scare all the kids or do they love it?
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty neat!
ReplyDeleteWow that's quite a collection! Great picks for The Hunt this week. Thanks for stopping by and hope your weekend is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteoh, i find these things a bit creepy! but great picks for this week's theme!
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by! happy photo hunting!
that is certainly the most unique grocery store I've ever seen. Almost worth a trip to see it.
ReplyDeleteWell, they aren't really fake, though. They are still a real carcass, right? ;-) FAKE Photo Hunt
ReplyDeleteone of a kind store in the world i think :)
ReplyDeleteUnique store ... I haven't seen anything quite like this one. I'm sure that it could be frighting for some children.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!

Wow. The store goes through a lot of trouble there :o
ReplyDeleteWow, didn't know that you can have fake animals in a grocery store -- well I guess it is better than the real ones roaming the store *grin*. Great pictures for this week's hunt theme.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Sunday.
Your pictures are great! I have to show them to my husband...we have a hardware store near here that looks just like that and he likes to take the kids there for fun.

ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Kinda neat to see a bear among the Pringles. That's quite a unique place. Excellent choices for the theme.
