  3. Such a gorgeous one. Think it's the Common Blue or the Adonis Blue. Love seeing them too, as spring and autumn approaches. :)

    Have a great week, Andree.

    1. Thank you, Natasha. I double-checked the ID, and while it is not those, it isn't the Summer Azure, either. But it is in the Azure complex. I have updated the ID.

  4. Beautiful little butterfly. The whole azure complex has been the subject of much taxonomic discussion in recent years.

    1. Yes, it has been and it's frustrating for a person like me. I have re-checked iNat for updates on this observation and it actually was changed. I am updating this post. The checked edge of the hindwing makes it, probably, a Northern Azure (Celastrina lucia). But it's not yet confirmed, so I'll stick with the complex.

  6. These tiny blues always make me happy in the Spring, and sorry to see the colder Fall hatch. They are just beautiful.

  11. What a beautiful butterfly, such a soft and subtle color of blue.

On your question for my WW: I'm not sure that that is Russian Thistle, but something that looks similar?
