Five Blogs That Make Me Think (The Thinking Blog Award)

Somerset Bob has awarded me the Thinking Blogger Award and I am very flattered. He has taught me a lot about Google Earth and he also made my dugg button on the left sidebar. This is a bit different than the other awards. I am passing this award on to five bloggers that have made me think differently. They may choose not to participate, and that's fine. I would like to introduce you to five bloggers that you may not yet know but should read:

#!/usr/bin/geek (Observations from a Vermont Photographer and for fun code geek) is a Vermont Macintosh technical blogger that gives me points of view I normally dodge about Apple Computer and Macs. He's good, he's a professional photographer, and he's in Burlington. He also has no idea that I read him all the time (please post more often!)

Karen at A Strange Life who, unbelievably, has had many similar experiences in life and reactions to life as I have had. I am not alone! She is a witty, irreverent observer of herself. I wish she, also, would post more often.

catsynth.com who writes about cats, music, synthesizers, art, and opinion. He attended Yale (in Connecticut, where I lived all my life before my great escape), is about the age of my kids, has a gorgeous cat and knows Euler's Identity. He has eclectic interests and I enjoy eclecticism.

self taught artist in Vermont. Fascinating art and photography, poignant opinion. Another young blogger that I follow how ever often she posts (more, please).

Drew at BenSpark because of so many reasons. His upcoming fatherhood is exciting to watch. He has taught me a lot about blogging and photography. He's just a really nice guy.

Should any of you choose to participate, please make sure you pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging. The participation rules are simple:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative gold version if silver doesn’t fit your blog).

  1. Thanks for your nomination and appreciation of CatSynth!

I do plan to participate, but I have to "think" about it a bit first, i.e., who I want to nominate in turn :)

  2. Thanks Meeyauw, I appreciate the nomination. I will write the post as I too need to "think on it"

  3. Hey! FireFox and I have finally come to terms and I can comment. Thank you so much for nominating me for this, I can't tell you how much I appreciate it. Plus now I can read your blog too, instead of a line of text informing me that internet explorer is shutting down for no good reason (damn thing!). I'm so glad you enjoy my blog (along with my therapist (hi P!) and my Mom.
