Kitchen Floor 3: The Trim

After the kitchen floor was tiled, there was trim work to be done under the cabinets. The problem was the design of the tile. What part of the tile would you use to trim the cabinets? We decided on two different ways: one for the wall cabinets and another for the island. Look carefully at these two photos to see the differences. It may seem that we paid too much attention to this, but after looking at alternatives, I found that choosing the wrong design could detract from the entire floor. I am very happy with what John did — it enhances the floor and the cabinets. In the photo below, you see where the floor ends until we finish the demolition of the rest of the old kitchen.
