Every spring I note the day that I see my first robin. The day you see the first robin of spring is a lucky day in New England. It's an important harbinger of spring. But this was the latest that I had ever seen my first. As I write this, I can hear the snow plow go by. The season’s snow has not yet melted, the ponds and lakes are still frozen and we got another six inches of snow here yesterday on this part of the mountain. But it may reach 40°F this coming week. The sun might shine. There is always hope.
