This pair of Canada geese were in the
Duquette hayfield the other day. They were cheerfully together, until . . .
This one on the left said "Nope, it's better over here."
And the mate finally followed after a long goose dispute.

ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting mine :)
Whew! I was worried there was going to be trouble in Paradise! Good thing they got their 'honkin' acts together hehehe
ReplyDeleteI love geese, and the story you wove here about the goose pair is so neat! I imagine that it was the male who realized that the female had been right all along. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos and a nice story behind it!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrée, thanks so much for your comment about Bonnie. We're enjoying memories now more than sadness.
ReplyDeleteI love your arguing Canada Geese! They're all over Madison right now, some with tiny babies. They can be a nuisance, but they're cute... like kids and kitties ;-)
I love it, Andree! These geese sure do look after--and for--each other. I came across a couple of couples the other day. Actually, I came between one and the rest. The rest flew away a bit and left the other fellow honking until I stepped out of the way and he felt safe joining the gang. They are beautiful animals.
ReplyDeletewhat a fairy tale eh? :p
ReplyDeleteWe could learn a lot from geese. Nice shots.
ReplyDeleteVery nicely catched!
ReplyDeletelol - cute, funny commentary and a great capture. :)
ReplyDeleteHow fun! You find the best shots. I've been watching many disputes lately. I heard a ruckus one day from the pond and went charging over because I thought the cats were playing in forbidden territory, but it was just the ducks yelling at each other, loudly! lol
