.A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL MOVE ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES TONIGHT INTO ONTARIO. MEANWHILE...AN ASSOCIATED WARM FRONT WILL MOVE ACROSS VERMONT WITH RAIN SHOWERS TONIGHT AND POSSIBLY SOME FREEZING RAIN IN WIND PROTECTED SHELTERED VALLEYS ALONG AND EAST OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS OF VERMONT. ON WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...ANOTHER LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP SOUTH OF SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND...THEN TRACK NORTHEAST INTO THE GULF OF MAINE BY THURSDAY MORNING.
RAIN WILL BECOME STEADIER AND HEAVIER WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON...GRADUALLY
MIXING WITH AND CHANGING TO A WET SNOW IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS LATE...
THEN IN THE VALLEYS BY EVENING AND CONTINUE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE TAPERING TO SNOW SHOWERS THURSDAY MORNING. AT THIS TIME...IT APPEARS AS THOUGH MORE THAN 6 INCHES OF SNOW MAY FALL FROM THE WESTERN SLOPES OF THE GREEN MOUNTAINS EAST ACROSS THE REMAINDER OF VERMONT.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN BURLINGTON HAS ISSUED A WINTER STORM WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING FOR NORTH CENTRAL...NORTHEAST VERMONT AND THE WESTERN SLOPES OF EASTERN FRANKLIN AND CHITTENDEN COUNTIES.
WET SNOW IS EXPECTED TO ACCUMULATE 6 OR MORE INCHES FROM WEDNESDAY EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING.
RAIN WILL MIX THEN CHANGE TO A WET SNOW...FIRST IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON AND IN THE VALLEYS BY EVENING. THE HEAVY WET SNOW WILL CONTINUE WEDNESDAY NIGHT BEFORE TAPERING TO SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS THURSDAY MORNING.
THIS HEAVY WET SNOW WILL BE LIKELY CAUSE SLICK...TREACHEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS AND THE WEIGHT OF THE SNOW MAY CAUSE SOME SCATTERED POWER OUTAGES WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND EARLY THURSDAY. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.

I was traveling and happen to meet
you while shopping and you mentioned
about your blog. It seemed interesting
to me. I was gone for some time
after that but I finally checked out
your blog and it's just like you said!

I don't envy you that weather report. It is unseasonably cold in Chicago but no snow is expected to accumulate. A little may fall though. I'm vowing only to visit Vermont in the summer. I've never been to that neck of the woods.
