I can see Possum's tongue. I have never figured out why cats (and dogs) like the dirty outside water when they have clean, fresh water inside. Maybe it tastes good to them for some reason.
I used to have a cat Morty who loved to "discover" water sources, a puddle in a bathtub, a partially filled glass, etc. He was strictly indoors, so his choices were limited.
Luna, on the other hand, seems to have no interest in water outside of her official bowl.
This is nasty water, but all the cats drink from this tiny pond when they go outside! If you look closely you can see Possum's tongue sticking out.
