Blogged by Flickr

On June 10th, Flickr blogged this photo of mine taken inside the Dog Chapel at Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury. You can read the Flickr Blog Post here. I was wondering what happened on that day because this photo received 20 favorites (on that day) and my Flickr account received 1,353 hits. Many other of the Dog Mountain photos were favorited, also. I went to my Flickr Stats page (even though I have linked to my stats page, I am not certain you can see it if you click) and clicked on the domain with the most referrals and found the pleasant cause of all of this activity. Sophie's Big Day Ends Badly

Sophie wakes up very slowly.
This photo was taken after her breakfast.
Sophie has wild days. Today she went to Dog Mountain
where there are many big birds to chase
and lots of mud to run in.

Her wild fun in the mud required a bath once she was home.
Sophie is not a fan of baths.

Dogs on Thursday: Sophie on Dog Mountain

Amy takes her dogs to Dog Mountain in St. Johnsbury. This is a free, 300 acre dog park created by artist Stephen Huneck. There is the mountain, fields, forest, ponds, a dog chapel and a store that sells Huneck's art. 

Sophie saw me while she was drinking in the pond and immediately began to swim to me. The further she swam, the more horrified she looked. But she made it safely to me and drenched me in water when she shook off.  Sophie is the baddest dog, yet my favorite. She is so full of life and love.

We Have Color

View from Dog Mountain, St. Johnsbury

Our color looked like this a couple of days ago but I think it's gone. It's hard to tell because it is pouring rain and I am all fogged in. I took this photo in St. Johnsbury where it has been much warmer and is further south than me. I never got a good photograph of our color. So this will have to be my "fall foliage" shot for this year. And the shot's not too good because the sky was overcast all day. This photo looks great when you click on it.
