More About Me
More about me: JD2718
4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
6) 5 places I have lived:
Jonathan at JD2718 tagged me with this new meme and I've taken long enough to respond to it. Of course, we have to start with the rules:
- The rules of the game get posted at the beginning.
- Each player answers the questions about themselves.
- At the end of the post, the player then tags 5-6 people and posts their names, then goes to their blogs and leaves them a comment, letting them know they’ve been tagged and asking them to read your blog.
- Let the person who tagged you know when you’ve posted your answer.
1) What was I doing 10 years ago?
I was teaching mathematics in an alternative high school in Connecticut. I had been a widow for four years. My children (here, here, here, and here) had finished graduating high school and I was a grandmother to Wingnut!
2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order):

2) What are 5 things on my to-do list for today (not in any particular order):

- Continue work on Probabilities Reasoning Workshop I am taking online.
- Read
3) Snacks I enjoy:
- Chocolate Fudge Brownie
- Butter Pecan
- Willy Nelson's Country Peach Cobbler
4) Things I would do if I were a billionaire:
- Do all the work on my house that needs to be done, including painting and floors and roof.
- Get all the furniture I need.
- Get a real car and get rid of this Saturn.
- Put aside just enough so that I could retire and be rich.
- Give the rest to my kids.
5) Three of my bad habits:
Why do they always ask this?

6) 5 places I have lived:
- Connecticut
- Azores
- Virginia
- back to Connecticut
- Vermont

- Campaign worker for Lowell Weicker, Jr (even though I was a Democrat. But I was getting paid to make campaign calls and was in high school).

- Selling books at Christmas time in Hartford's best department store, G. Fox & Co., where I met my husband.
- Office manager for my husband's electronics business.
6 people I want to know more about:
- Sandy Carlson because she is so spiritual and supportive.
- Colin Campbell because his posts are interesting and his sense of humor is neat.
- byrningbunny because she is so fascinating and lives in a wonderful place.
- Misty who is becoming a great friend.
- Jams O Donnell because his photographs are wonderful and he loves cats.
- Amar because of his music, mathematics and cats.

Wordless Wednesday: Mother's Day Tulips
Andrew sent me tulips for Mother's Day.
Later in the week, the tulips began pollinating.
And of course the cats ate quite a few blossoms and leaves.
The girls gave me The Complete Poems of Emily Dickinson and

Blog Your Blessings: Healing Thoughts
video from sandycarlson.net
visit Sandy's YouTube channel for more
healing words, wisdom and videos
that are "based on prayers and scripture from various faith traditions."
I find that I am using Blog Your Blessings to highlight those things that comfort and heal me. The past six weeks have been a healing time of prayer and reflection. Music, reading, talking, and Sandy's words and videos have helped me realize I am not alone.

Photo Hunters: Candy
Not candy — cookies! Better than candy! Amelia (2nd daughter) has created a recipe for cookies that is so good that she now sells them for $2 each. The recipe is secret, of course, but she is sold out every day. She has two kinds: oatmeal-raisin-date-walnut and oatmeal chocolate chip. Each cookie is very large and all of the ingredients are organic. One cookie prevents my midmorning slump and keeps me going for hours, unlike cookies from processed foods and white sugar.
I used my new Canon Rebel for these photos
in order to practice program mode.
