The Butterfly Game

Thursday was a wild morning — beginning with a cat fight at 3 AM. I got up, tossed a few cats outside, went back to bed and fell asleep again.

5:15 AM: a big crack of thunder woke me up. I had to get those cats inside, close windows and shut down the computer. Amy got up to get the dogs out before the storm hit and Matt got up because of the racket of the storm. It was a huge storm — terrific lightning strikes all about (but none here, thank goodness!). I got back to bed about 7:30 AM.

It continued to rain heavily all day. We had the wettest July on record they say: nearly 14 inches (35.6 cm) of rain in July alone. So we played The Butterfly Game after a very late breakfast. It was good — we learned a lot about different butterflies. Matt won the first game and I won the second!

I don't know where you can buy the game. Jerry sells them himself at programs that he gives at libraries, and that is where I bought ours. Jerry autographed it for Wingnut. It cost $15. So try to find Jerry and get yourself a great game! There's a good article from the seacoastonline.com about the game here.

  1. OMG ! you really had a bad night ! Fortunately the thunderstorm didn't hit near you.
Lisa too wakes me up at least once, but then I go to the bathroom.
It has been quite a while I haven't heard of you, is there something wrong ? You didn't participate on COT either.
