Heads or Tails: Newport Vanes

I have been collecting weather vane photos lately. These are two from the Newport, Vermont waterfront. The top photo is the vane on the Hebard Building. It is a salmon, a fish from Lake Memphremagog. The photo below is of a van from the top of a gazebo on the lake front walkway.

    But this photo is interesting , I previously ignored the weather vanes, before ! Now I will better take a look at it.

    I showed my husband the fish weather vane. He loves fishing and now he wants one of those weather vanes. LOL

    I have always really loved weather vanes--they are becoming harder and harder to come by. We have one with a rooster but I would really love one on the roof. Beautiful!!

    The Letter People were around in the 70's on PBS...you can check out some of the shows on youtube. My fave was the letter T. Tall Teeth! LOL

    I have always loved weather vanes. I have absolutely no idea why. I just do. I really like the salmon one.
